SKYTrek Open Fun Day & 'Youth Empowerment Program' Launch

SKYTrek Open Fun Day allows all visitors to come and experience SKYTrek and more for FREE!We will also be launching the Colin Glen 'Youth Empowerment Program' for 11-20year olds in the local Colin area and you can find out more from the information desk here. The fun day is suitable for all ages and SKYTrek sessions are available for those 5 years old and up.

SKYTrek

Due to the high numbers expected at the event, it is impossible to cater for everyone due to health and safety reasons.

SKYTrek TASTER Sessions will run from 11am – 3pm in 30min slots (includes safety briefing). In order to get a free taster session, you must visit the Check-In desk which is located outside on the path leading into SKYTrek. We will hand out SKYTrek passes (1 per person) every hour at the Check-In desk on a first come, first serve basis for the following sessions:

Session 1                     11:00am
Session 2                     11:30am

Passes given out at 11:45am

Session 3                     12:00am
Session 4                     12:30am

Passes given out at 12:45pm

Session 5                     1:00pm
Session 6                     1:30pm

Passes given out at 1:45pm

Session 7                     2:00pm
Session 8                     2:30pm

Passes given out at 2:45pm

Session 9                     3:00pm

You will get to pick ONE element to try; Climbing Wall, Low Course, High Course OR Ziplines.

If you are late for a session, you won't be able to use another session time. Please be respectful to other visitors and do not expect to be given more than one free session during the day. When we have distributed passes for all 9 sessions, we will not be giving out any more.

If you wish to book future SKYTrek sessions, please visit reception to book. Please note we do not accept reservations, ALL bookings must be paid for in advance via cash or credit card.


Colin Glen Youth Empowerment Program

This is a program funded by Big Lottery and will operate from Colin Glen Trust for three years, giving young people aged 11 – 20 the opportunity to get involved in a range of different programs. Our 'Youth Empowerment' leaders will be on site on the day and will have an information desk for anyone seeking information about upcoming programs and events.


LaserTag

LaserTag sessions will take place through the Forest Park, PAST the entrance to SKYTrek. Follow the signs to direct you through the park. LaserTag sessions will be from 12pm – 3pm and will be 3 or 4-a-side games lasting approx. 20mins each.


Teddy Bear's Picnic

Teddy Bear’s Picnic will commence at 12pm – 1pm. Please take your own refreshments. Depending on weather, kids will be taken through the Park and seated in a grassy area for a short picnic, with teddy bears and stories. In the case of rain, Teddy Bears picnic will take place inside in the Education Room which is located beside reception.

There will also be free access to 'Penalty Soccer Shoot-Outs', 'Bouncy Castles' & 'Sumo Wrestler Suits' and 'Face-painting'.


Additional Information

Car Parking

Since the event is happening within the Car Park, there will be a limited number of car parking spaces with some also being allocated to Mona’s cafĂ© customers and for disabled access.
Please find alternative parking in the area surrounding Colin Glen Forest Park and use the pedestrian path leading into the car park.


Toilets

Toilets are located in the main building adjacent to Mona's Cafe.


Shop


Mona's Cafe will be in operation until 3pm serving food and beverages. Mona's new Shop will also be open, selling soft drinks and confectionery throughout the day.
